THE LOGO.
Golden Hope's corporate logo was inherited from the HMPB era.
The only difference is the new Golden Hope logo has the logotype 'Golden Hope' at the bottom of the tree like structure in place of the HMPB acronym.
The logo was officially launched by HMPB Chairman Tun Ismail Ali on April 26,1985 at the time when HMPB was actively diversifying its business.The formation of the logo was aptly timed,and illustrated the changes from a foreign owned company to a Malaysian company.
It was a simple logo yet the rationale depicted the company so well that it won the hearts of the judges.
LOGO RATIONALE.
The two vertical lines symbolising the trunk of the tree,portray a firmly rooted and solidly entrenched agro-based company.The trunk also serves as a foundation for the development and growth of the group's new businesses.The three-tier interlinking canopies reflect the diversified yet integrated growth and expansion of the group.
The lowest tier signifies the Group's involvement in the production of palm oil,rubber,cocoa and coconut - the four major commodities produced by the group then.
The second tier depicts the Group's growing involvement in the processing and manufacturing industries while the top most tiers represent the service activities undertaken by the company.
Golden Hope continued to use the HMPB logo after the company changed its name in 1990 by replacing the HMPB acronym with the logotype 'Golden Hope'.
The logo was used throughout the Group's businesses with different colours to differentiate the various sectors of business,namely green for plantations,brown for property,blue for international businesses and red for industries.

34 years at a multinational company Viking-Askim Sdn.Bhd,Harvik Rubber Industries Sdn.Bhd,Golden Hope Plantations Berhad,Sime Darby Berhad and now the new entity MIK Industries Ltd .
Golden Hope Plantations menganugerahkan service award untuk executive2 yang bekerja lama.Ada 4 peringkat semuanya iaitu award untuk 20,25,30 dan 35 tahun.
Oleh kerana abah merupakan salah seorang executive yang sudah bekerja lama dengan syarikat(Golden Hope Plantations Berhad)syarikat mengurniakan Long Service Award untuk 25 tahun dan Long Service Award untuk 30 tahun,penyampaian hadiah disampaikan oleh Group Chief Executive,Dato'Sabri pada 2005 diKuala Lumpur.
After this it's time for me to retire peacefully this coming September which is just around the corner.I will take a rest for a few months before persuing with a new job or maybe start to open my own small business.
To all my colleagues and friends I want to express my great appreciation for their co-operation,support,contributions and advice rendered to me especially to my predecessors and mentors during my tenure here i.e.Mr.P.Jayendran(Chemist)Laboratory Manager and Mr.Derek Lim,Production Manager.
Thank you for your guidance,advice,support and the friendship I had during the past working years with you all.I,ve learnt a lot from you all.
Although I have been working for more than 34 years,I feel I am still physically fit and mentally strong.
But sometimes I do have a mild migrain,itu senang saja tiap2 bulan pergi ke Klinik Rushidi mengambil ubat.
Alhamdulillah... !.Anyway I feel I still can work for at least for another 4 or 5 more years after taking the rest for a few months after this.

Insya'Allah.I will find and try to do something which I am unable to do during my working life at Harvik due to my tight work schedule and commitment.
